Making the choice to chance for any reason can be easier said than done. From shedding a few pounds to shedding a few habits or even people, change can be daunting and seemingly insurmountable.
What does it take to make the choice to change for yourself? Changing for anything outside of the borders of your skin is almost always unsustainable and unsatisfying. For each of us, the choice to change is unique and the way that we choose to change can be just as unique. Join us as we explore the topic with people from multiple backgrounds, professional endeavors and personal experiences.
Meet BRIAN SCOTT GROSS.
“I have my own PR firm, have been in my career choice since my senior year of High School. Work dominates my life, but I love what I do and it is my name on the door. Personally my life focus is on staying in shape, travel, and spending time with people I am very close with.”
HOW HAS YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE AFFECTED YOUR NUTRITIONAL AND SELF CARE CHOICES?
“I have very little time, so my food choices need to be smart. Outside of work, I have to stay focused on what I put in my body.”
WHAT EVENT (or series of events) INSPIRED YOUR CHOICE TO CHANGE?
“My weight was creeping to a place I did not like. I was working out even more, which only made me more hungry, and I would put bad food in my body. I needed someone to create a program that would force me to make a lifestyle change. So, instead of one programs, I did 2 back-to-back, and I have never looked back.”
WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU MADE INTERNALLY?
“I am vegan, and that has changed how well I sleep, what I eat, and what I do NOT eat.’
WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU MADE EXTERNALLY?
“I havent. I am still social, I still travel, I still work hard. But I am slimmer and I feel great.”
HOW DO YOUR CHOICES HELP SHAPE YOUR FUTURE?
“I will maintain a healthy relationship with food, and continue to take this lifestyle change by the throat and know that there’s no going back to my bad ways.”
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A HEALTHY CHANGE?
“GET ON A PROGRAM. DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. SEEK MOTIVATION. FIND CHALLENGES.”
