I’m one of those, “I love working out!” kind of people (the ones who tend to annoy people who don’t love working out as much…lol). This practice has been a part of my life since a teen. So when I talk to someone about their mental health and what I recommend as a coping skill, working out is at the top of my list.
I sometimes arrive to my mat tired, emotional, or overwhelmed. I leave my mat feeling empowered and with a much better perspective.
So why do I show up for myself each time? Because I’m in love with the practice. And the more I leave on this mat, the less I take with me. I give it my stress, and worries.. it gives me back clarity and empowerment.
